Faculty of Communication Graduation Ceremony Held with Great Enthusiasm

Our Faculty of Communication graduation ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and high attendance. Hosted by the Dean of our Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Hatice Aydın, at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, the ceremony was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, Secretary General Faruk Küçük, academic and administrative staff, members of the press, students, and their families.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the recital of the Turkish National Anthem, followed by the screening of our University's promotional video. After the promotional film, a video compiled by our Communication Faculty students featuring the memories they collected throughout their academic lives was presented to the audience. Afterwards, the opening speech was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Hatice Aydın. Congratulating our graduating students in her speech, Dean Prof. Dr. Hatice Aydın wished them success in their professional lives. Delivering his welcoming remarks, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz congratulated our students on their graduation, wishing that it brings them good fortune and offering his best wishes for their future endeavors.

Following the protocol speeches, Elif Tıraş, a student from the Department of New Media and Communication who graduated as the valedictorian of our faculty for the 2025–2026 academic year, performed the plaque-nailing ceremony on the graduation log. Speaking on behalf of all graduates, Elif Tıraş shared the happiness and pride she experienced on this meaningful day with the attendees. Success certificates and awards were then presented to the top-ranking students across the faculty. The certificate of achievement and award for the faculty valedictorian, Elif Tıraş, were presented by our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Hatice Aydın. The certificates and awards for students who ranked at the faculty and departmental levels were presented by our Vice Rectors, Secretary General, and the respective department heads. Following the award presentations, sapling donation certificates issued in the name of our graduates were presented to our students to transform this meaningful day into a lasting memory. Subsequently, graduation certificates of achievement were handed out to our graduating students by our academic and administrative staff.

As the students receiving their certificates and their families experienced great excitement and happiness, the graduation joy was crowned with photo and video sessions. The ceremony, celebrated with great enthusiasm, concluded with our graduating students throwing their caps into the air all together. We congratulate all of our graduating students who successfully completed their departments and stepped into their professional lives, and we wish them success in the new chapter of their lives.
