Graduation Ceremony Held for Our Maritime Vocational School

Our Maritime Vocational School graduation ceremony was held with great excitement and enthusiasm. Hosted by the Director of our Maritime Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Karadurmuş, at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, the ceremony was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel, Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu, and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, Secretary General Faruk Küçük, academic and administrative staff, students, and their esteemed families.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the recital of the Turkish National Anthem, followed by the screening of our University's promotional video. After the promotional film, a processional march of our Maritime Vocational School students took place. Afterwards, the opening speech was delivered by the Director of our Maritime Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Karadurmuş. Congratulating our graduating students in his address, Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Karadurmuş wished them success in their professional lives. Delivering his welcoming remarks, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz congratulated our students on their graduation and wished them success in their new lives.

Following the protocol speeches, Mahmut Mücahit Kura, a student from the Naval Architecture Program who graduated as the valedictorian of our Vocational School for the 2025–2026 academic year, performed the plaque-nailing ceremony on the graduation log. Speaking on behalf of all graduates, Mahmut Mücahit Kura shared the joy and pride of graduation with the attendees. The certificate of achievement and award were presented to our student by our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz and the Director of our Maritime Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Karadurmuş. Success certificates and awards were then presented to the students who ranked at the vocational school and departmental/program levels by our Vice Rectors and the respective department/program heads.

As the students who received their certificates took commemorative photos together with our academic and administrative staff, the students and their families experienced the graduation joy with great excitement and happiness. The ceremony concluded with our graduating students throwing their caps into the air all together.
